Tahiti, les révélations & LA CAgE AUX FAUVES
As part of a live painting project at the Matisse Museum, Aket Kubic will present a two-part work.
The first part, entitled "Tahiti, the Revelations," is inspired by Matisse's creative quest during his time in Tahiti, a pivotal moment that enriched his artistic inspiration and color palette. Through this work, Aket pays homage to the impact of this journey on modern art, capturing the essence of the trip and the beauty of Tahiti.
The second work, "The Cage of Wild Beasts," evokes the arrival of Fauvism at the 1905 Exposition of Modern Art. This term refers to the group of artists who transformed the art world with vibrant colors and bold forms, defying the conventions of the time. Aket thus highlights the legacy of this movement and its influence on contemporary art.
This project invites viewers to explore these artistic narratives, connecting the past to the present and celebrating the evolution of art.
For these two works, Aket will use what he calls 3D creations: the first stems from his "composition" work, while the second comes from his more classical approach, described as "colored black and gray."

themed : la mer comme constante
The theme of the sea as constant, regroups two enriching dimensions linked to the references of the past. In part it is the emblematic project "Le Grand Bleu" that celebrates the depth, the beauty and the immensity of the oceans.
From another part this theme is also inscribed in the tradition of “baigneuses” a series of works that evoke the simplicity and joy of moments passed on the edge of the water.
By combining these two approaches, I wish to explore the sea as a place of leisure and rest but also as a symbol of emotional depth.
Through each canvas, I hope to convey the richness of the human experience in the face of the sea. Engaging the viewer in a reflection on our relationship with this fundamental natural element.

themed : le soleil levant
This theme was one of the most inspiring and surprising. It stemmed from my trip to Japan, where I had the opportunity to discover the many facets and subtleties of this fascinating culture. During my stay, I was particularly moved by the beauty of the landscapes, the richness of the traditions, and the delicacy of Japanese arts. These experiences deeply inspired me, prompting me to translate them onto canvas. Each painting captures a unique experience or personal impression related to my trip, whether through serenity or vibrant scenes of daily life.

themed : UNIVER’SAILLES
Drawn to history in general, I wanted to illustrate the Rococo and Baroque styles. This era of great refinement, elegance, and splendor, with its sumptuous architecture, represents the pinnacle of artistic creativity of that period. My interest in these artistic movements is not limited to their aesthetics; they also reflect a rich cultural and social history. I aspire to understand how these styles reflected the tastes and aspirations of the society of the time. Through my works, I wish to capture not only the visual beauty of the ornamental details but also the energy that emanates from them.

project 365 DAYS
The 365 is a coherent artistic project consisting of 365 small works, each measuring 30 x 24 cm, created on numbered canvas boards. This project began in early 2023 and ended in March 2026.
It took just over three years to complete. This project aimed to capture the essence of everyday life. Each work was therefore a unique piece, a reflection on the passage of time, the present moment, and the emotions that arise from it.
This offered me the opportunity to experiment with new artistic approaches, playing with textures and forms. Thanks to this project, many collectors were able to discover my work worldwide, in nearly 38 countries.

themed : pop kulture
Pop culture is a theme that deeply fascinates me, although I don't explore it as often as I'd like. This field, encompassing everything from films and television series to music and fashion trends, represents a dynamic mosaic of cultural references that influence our daily lives. My fascination with pop culture lies in its ability to reflect the concerns, aspirations, and emotions of our contemporary society. While I've created few works on this theme so far, I feel a growing desire to explore its many facets further.

themed : animal’s
Animals are a subject I regularly explore in my work, particularly because of the richness of their forms and colors. I especially appreciate how each species possesses unique characteristics, allowing me to play with nuances, textures, and compositions. Each piece becomes an exploration of curvilinear forms, complex patterns, and color palettes. Furthermore, by depicting animals in diverse contexts, I hope to encourage viewers to reflect on the relationship between humans and the animal kingdom. Each piece may evoke themes such as coexistence, environmental protection, and the beauty of biodiversity.

themed : clowns
As an admirer of “ Buffet” work, I chose to revisit the theme of clowns.
“Bernard Buffet” a renowned 20th-century painter is known for his unique style characterized by angular forms and often somber colors.
Among his iconic works, clowns hold a special place. I aspire to capture this duality: the joy and sadness that coexist in human existence.
My approach involves integrating contemporary elements while respecting the essence of his work.
The dialogue between past and present is increasingly present in my own work.

themed : femme au chapeau
Among the iconic works, we find "Women with Hats," created by contemporary artist Aket Kubic. This distinctive series showcases the beauty and diversity of women, each sporting a unique and stylish hat. One of these pieces gained prominence after its appearance in Coca-Cola's "Masterpiece" advertising campaign, which captivated the public with its vibrant and modern aesthetic.
The artist develops an innovative and graphic approach to the subject, regularly creating medium-sized works that depict women with hats. Each piece combines elements of traditional portraiture with a contemporary twist, playing with colors, textures, and patterns to highlight the individuality of each woman. Kubic's ability to blend classic artistic techniques with modern themes allows his work to resonate with a wide audience, inviting viewers to reflect on the role of women in society and the power of self-expression through fashion.
